If you are looking to join Sol Family in 2026, now’s the time to check in. We will be interviewing/onboarding earlier than in the past so camp may fill up early. (RV spaces in particular are limited so if that’s your thing, def get your apps in.) This year the early-commit dues will be a better deal than ever, so don’t miss out.
We always have room for passionate builders and creators.
Questions? All new applicants have a call with a camp leader to confirm resonance and whether it’s a mutual fit. The interview goes both ways, so you’ll be able to ask away.

For over 10 years, we’ve attracted an ever more amazing community gathering on the playa in some form or another.. HEX Collective, Camp Awesomeness, Disco Bomb… Together, we’ve created a community of creativity, accountability and awesomeness — striving toward ever more beautiful and fun camper and visitor experiences on the playa.
We gather on the playa to connect, laugh, grow, dance and share! A family reunion of friends, old and new, normally scattered across the globe, but together for 1-2 weeks, in this crazy desert we call home.
- We’re a very international group, with no one home base. Once you’re in Sol Family, you’ll have friends in every city.
- Sol Fam come in all shapes, types, personalities and ages (but please note that 2026 is a kids-free year for us).
- We don’t provide tickets, but we have a robust network to help you find a ticket. We currently have campers with extra tickets ready to share with new incoming campers.
- We come together to build. We’ve gotten pretty great at creating a space that’s relatively comfortable in the middle of the desert. Everyone takes part in building and taking down camp and leaving no trace. Read about what camp provides (and doesn’t provide) on the Apply page.
- We come together to give. Read about Our Offerings.
- We come together to dance, share, hang, and venture out. We also have camper activities (planned and spontaneous) that all are welcome to take part in (or do your own thing, that’s cool too.) Wandering art tours, photo shoots, sunrises in deep playa… you get the drift.
- We come together to eat. Our (optional but awesome) daily camp dinners (by campers for campers) are consistently most voted “favorite part of camp”.
